1920's AMERICAN CHARACTER PETITE COMPOSITION & CLOTH DOLL - Sleep Eyes - Cute

Description

This is a wonderful doll from the 1920's PETITE by AMERICAN CHARACTER DOLL CO. - Her head, shoulder plate and arms are made of composition - her body and legs are stuffed cloth (notice patch on side) - She is marked "AMERICAN CHARACTER DOLL CO. PETITE" on back of shoulder plate.  -  She measures 16" - and is wearing a 2 piece hand made cotton play outfit with embroidery.
Doll has crier box which is not working - Eyes open and close perfectly and she has an open mouth with 2 teeth - Molded hair - Paint is flaking in some areas and "lifting" in some areas.  PLEASE LOOK CAREFULLY AT PHOTOS WHICH SHOW CONDITION.  But in any event, she is a very sweet doll almost 100 years old.
