    Description

    This Buchner funnel is made from heavy-walled borosilicate glass and a 90 mm diameter fritted disc. The stem is very thick (outer diameter, 20 mm; inner diameter, 14 mm) and extends about 10 cm below the fritted disc. The top rim is beaded for extra strength and is about 9 cm above the frit, giving a capacity of 600 mL. Coarse porosity frit keeps the flow going: porosity range is 40-60 µm (pore diameter determined as specified in ASTM E128). Like all Buchner funnels, requires vacuum, a receiver flask, something rubber with a big hole in it, and safety training (all not included). Disc should not be subjected to a pressure differential of more than 1 atm.
